Idaho Farms (Completed)
In 2007, Vidler purchased two farm properties in Idaho totaling approximately 1,886 acres of land, together with the related 7,044 acre-feet of underground agricultural water rights. The properties are located near the areas of Boise, Nampa and Caldwell, where Vidler had anticipated future development could be constrained by the lack of developable land with water. The financial crisis of 2008 had a significant negative impact on new housing growth in the area and Vidler made a determination to sell the properties. In June, 2013 Vidler closed on the sale of its Idaho farms for $13.7 million.
